Her participation in the International Vocal Competition in 2014 earned her four prizes, including the prestigious Arleen Auger All-round Prize for the best all-round singer of the competition. In July 2015, Florieke won the Young Talent Prize at the Belvedere Competition. In the <i>NRC Handelsblad<\/i> Florieke was called the rising star of the Netherlands. In June 2016, she won two prizes at the Stenhammar Music Competition in Sweden, including the Stenhammar Prize.<\/p><p>Florieke is a sought-after soloist at home and abroad both in oratorio and opera. She has had the honour of working with conductors such as Marc Albrecht, Tom\u00e1\u0161 Netopil, Stefano Montanari, Richard Egarr, Antony Hermus, Clark Rundell, Arjan Tien, Boudewijn Jansen, Etienne Siebens, Kenneth Montgomery and Maurizio Benini; and with directors such as Laurent Pelly, Andrea Breth, Damiano Michieletto, Alexander Oliver, Robert Carsen, Lotte de Beer and Allex Oll\u00e9 &amp; Valentina Carrasco (<i>La Fura dels Baus<\/i>).<\/p><p>She took master classes with Dame Janet Baker, among others, for her rendition of Britten's <i>Phaedra<\/i>, with Ed Spanjaard, Rudolf Jansen, Nelly Miricioiu, Doris Soffel, Dennis O'Neill, Leontina Vaduva, Jean Philippe Lafont, Jos\u00e9 van Dam and Christa Ludwig. At the Christina Deutekom Gala, Florieke sang alongside Eva-Maria Westbroek, Henk Poort, Marco Bakker, Ernst Dani\u00ebl Smid and Charlotte Margiono, among others. This took place at the Royal Theatre Carr\u00e9 in Amsterdam with Holland Symfonia conducted by Ramon Tebar. Florieke sang the role of Meg Page (<i>Falstaff<\/i>) and Marcellina (<i>Le nozze di Figaro<\/i>) at the Gala of the National Opera.<\/p><p>Florieke shares the love of song with pianist <a href=\"https:\/\/vvhl.nl\/en\/abigail-richards\/\">Abigail Richards<\/a>, with whom she forms a song duo. Together, they won two prizes at the 2014 International Vocal Competition. They recently gave a recital together in the Concertgebouw's Small Hall. Florieke also sang the <i>Wesendoncklieder<\/i> by Wagner at The Orchestra conducted by Jacob Slagter; the <i>6 Carmina Alcaei<\/i> by Dallapiccola at the New Ensemble and <i>Bosnian Voices<\/i> by Nigel Osborne with the Liverpool Philharmonic Ensemble 10\/10. She recently sang with Introdans <i>Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen<\/i> of Mahler with the Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Otto Tausk. Composer Wilko Brouwers chose three poems from it and set them to music. He carried this triptych, entitled <em>Three songs on poems from CHAMBER MUSIC by James Joyce<\/em> along, on to Florieke. Together with pianist Abigail Richards, she will premiere them. The recital takes its title from one of these poems: <em>All day I hear the noise of waters<\/em>. All the songs are therefore in direct or indirect relation to water, sometimes explicitly, sometimes more hidden.
