Aanvankelijk combineerde Jean-Léon Klostermann zijn muzikale carrière met een baan als manager. Vanaf een optreden als Tamino in Mozarts Zauberflöte in 2002 legt hij zich volledig op het musiceren toe. De verdere opleiding van Studio 32 bij Henny Diemer gaf hem de mogelijkheid diverse masterclasses te volgen bij onder anderen Mark Tucker, Anthony Rolphe-Johnson en Udo Reinemann en dramalessen bij Janet Aster en Vladimir Koifmann.

Jean-Léon Klostermann treedt veelvuldig op als concert- en operazanger.
