The Concertgebouw Amsterdam programmed for the 2026-2027 season two series of lied recitals by well-known lied singers and pianists. On separate concerts From both series you will receive as a member 30% discount!
For lovers of a diversity of voices and timbres: during the Vocal on Tuesday series, it all passes by. In the higher registers, Erika Baikoff and Adèle Charvet shine. Both are returning to their roots: Baikoff dedicates herself not only to Schumann, but also to Rachmaninoff and Medtner, while Charvet embraces many French composers.
Two baritons also colour the series. For instance, Will Liverman, whom the press describes as having ‘luxurious baritone velvet’, returns to the series. Kleine Zaal debutant Samuel Hasselhorn set himself the task of recording all Schubertliederen in chronological order; he is now focusing on the liederen from the year 1826. Tenor Julian Prégardien, an old acquaintance, takes on Beethoven's wonderfully beautiful cycle An die ferne Geliebte as a starting point and place another Viennese, Schubert, alongside it. ‘Delightful, fresh and spontaneous’, Prégardien's Schubert is called.

Vocal on Sunday Afternoon is new! From this season onwards, you can also enjoy a vocal treat in the afternoon. International top artists will colour your Sunday. East or west, home is best: three of the singers are returning musically to their roots. The Czech singer Magdalena Kožená will perform Janáček and Dvořák, while the Russian Julia Lezhneva is dedicating an entire recital to Rachmaninoff's finest liederen.
Exotic hues resonate with the Brazilian singer Bruno de Sá. The current English sensation is Laurence Kilsby. ‘I love taking risks, especially during recitals, where you have the intimate space to play with the colours of your voice,’ he says. The tenor is putting together a programme around the fairy tale The Little Mermaid by Andersen. Lenneke Ruiten is of Dutch soil. She opts for Brahms, Fauré and Debussy: romanticism and a pinch of French lyricism.
