Songs my (great)grandparents taught me
In this programme Martijn Sanders together with pianist Femke de Graaf a tribute to the composers and singers from the childhood of Martijn's (great) grandparents. The recital opens with songs by Brahms and Strauss, followed by four examples of Dutch song art. After the interval, songs by Dvořák, Hahn and Chaminade, operatic melodies by Gastaldon and Tosti, a schlager by Richard Tauber and a bouncer by Gershwin will be heard.
