The final of the competition in Groningen featured a starring role for Dutch Jasperina Verheijen Willem van den Dool. The master students are both studying in The Hague. They performed songs by Herbert Howells, Henri Duparc, Jonathan Dove, Ivor Gurney, Gabriel Fauré, Johannes Brahms and Hugo Wolf.
From the hands of RAA member Claudia Patacca - member of the artistic affairs advisory board (RAA), they received the Friends of the Song incentive prize for the best Dutch duo. The prize consists of two recitals for Friends of the Song, given the association's focus on talent development.
