Michelle Lynne

Canadian pianist Michelle Lynne is a much sought-after chamber musician, pianist and teacher. She performs regularly in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Switzerland. She has won several prizes in international piano competitions and her performances are praised for their emotional depth and technical virtuosity.

biography

Lynne is currently artistic director of the Limburg concert series ‘Opus 16 Concerts’, a foundation that aims to provide a stage for young, top international talent in Limburg. She is also a lecturer at Codarts Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Rotterdam, where she teaches entrepreneurship for classical musicians. In 2020, she started her company The Fearless Artist Mastermind, focusing on professional development for classical musicians.

Michelle has taught master classes through the Juilliard (NY) outreach programme including in Paris, and received her master's degree from the Université de Montréal in Canada.

Michelle is a laureate of the Prix d'Europe, the Helene Roberge Competition (ARAM), the Canadian Music Competition, the Kiwanis Competition and the Shean Competition. She has attended summer festivals across Europe, studying with renowned professors such as Julian Martin (Julliard), Claudio Martinez Mehner (Basel), Dominique Weber (Geneva), Klaus Hellwig (Berlin), Ferenc Rados, Marian Hahn (Peabody) and André Laplante (Conservatoire de Montréal).

Michelle believes in the healing power of music and strives to shape concerts where she takes the listener to a place of inner peace and deep emotional connection with her stories.
