An unforgettable musical experience
Voor het eerst sinds 2010 is hij met een recital terug in Het Concertgebouw: Stéphane Degout. Op het operapodium viert deze Fransman triomfen, maar ook in de intimiteit van het lied weet hij de oren op steeltjes te zetten. De finesse en gevoeligheid die hij overbrengt als hij Frans repertoire zingt, is niet onopgemerkt gebleven, Gramophone spreekt van ‘een instinctief gebruik van kleur en dynamiek’. Barok, klassiek en romantisch, hij heeft het allemaal in de vingers. Met Simon Lepper achter de vleugel buigt hij zich vanavond over Franse meesters, van Reynaldo Hahn tot Maurice Ravel.
