In May 1907, James Joyce's collection of poems Chamber Music was published. Composer Wilko Brouwers chose three poems from it and set them to music. He carried this triptych, entitled Three songs on poems from CHAMBER MUSIC by James Joyce along, on to Florieke. Together with pianist Abigail Richards, she will premiere them. The recital takes its title from one of these poems: All day I hear the noise of waters. All the songs are therefore in direct or indirect relation to water, sometimes explicitly, sometimes more hidden. Besides the work of Wilko Brouwers, the programme also includes works by Dvořák, Mahler, Rachmaninov and Liszt.
