Vital Stahievitch studied in Minsk at the National College of Music with Zoya Kacharskaya. In the Netherlands, he graduated cum laude with Håkon Austbø at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In 2007/2008, he attended the Master Artistic Research programme at the University of Amsterdam with piano teacher Naum Grubert. He participated in international festivals and master classes (with Boris Petrushansky, Leon Fleisher).
His repertoire consists of pieces of different styles, from older music to modern pieces. However, his preference is for Romantic and Russian composers such as Chopin, Schubert, Rachmaninov and Prokofiev.
In 2010, he made two major concert tours. A theatre tour with the play The Pianist a wartime drama about life of Polish-Jewish pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman and a concert tour for the Friends' Circle Competition The Debuttogether with violinist Ksenia Beltiukova.
Since Vital Stahievitch won the second prize at the International Stasys Vainiunas Piano Competition in Vilnius, Lithuania at the age of 16, he has received more frequent performances in Belarus and abroad. He performed with orchestras and chamber orchestras in England, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Mexico, Norway, Greece, Russia, Lithuania and the United States. At the International Piano Competition Minsk-2000, he received the special prize for best performance of a compulsory work from Belarus. Furthermore, he participated in the Emmanuel Durlet International Piano Competition in Antwerp (2001, 7th prize), the European Union Piano Competition Arcangelo Speranza in Taranto, Italy (2005, 2nd prize), the International Piano Competition Minsk-2005, the International Chopin Piano Competition in Marianske Lazne (Czech Republic), and the YPF National Piano Competition (Amsterdam). Three times he was awarded a prestigious grant from the Special Fund for talented Youth by the Government of Belarus: 1998, 2001 and 2003.
Vital Stahievitch released a CD with music by Schubert on the Italian label Agora (2000) and with music by Prokofiev on the Dutch label EDS Music (2008).
After auditioning in 2011, Vital Stahievitch was joined by mezzo-soprano Ruth Willemse admitted to the Friends of Song.
