Robert Weirauch studeerde piano en compositie aan het Maastrichts Conservatorium respectievelijk bij Tonie Ehlen en John Slangen. Sinds 2006 werkt hij hier als correpetitor, voornamelijk met blazers en zangers. Daarnaast is hij actief in kamermuziek, lied, orkest, opera en bands.

In zijn compositorische zoektocht naar de ultieme synthese van klankwerelden gebruikt hij zeer uiteenlopende stijlen.
