Claudia Patacca graduated cum laude from the conservatoire in Enschede, won the Tubantia Prize, after which she continued her studies at the International Opera Centre Amsterdam. Invitations followed with De Nederlandse Opera, Nationale Reisopera, Opera Zuid, Saturday Matinee and several international opera houses, among others.
Claudia Patacca has built up a thriving concert practice, performing with almost all Dutch professional orchestras. She also gave concerts with great success in Japan, numerous European cities and the United States.
Claudia Patacca is a regular guest of the Valerius Ensemble with which she performs chamber music in a variety of styles. She works with pianists such as Jeroen Sarphati, Marien van Nieukerken, Nick Ross and Wouter Munsterman. Especially the Mignon songs By Wolf, songs by Rachmaninov and the Vier letzte Lieder by Strauss are high on her programme. The Schoenberg Ensemble invited her to perform the song cycle Des Todes Tod by Hindemith to be performed at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and elsewhere. With members of the Concertgebouw Orchestra, she performed songs by Schubert and Diepenbrock. In 2011, the Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht invited Claudia Patacca to perform Shostakovich 14eSymphony to perform, a symphony consisting of 11 poignant songs for soprano and baritone.
In 2011, a CD of Arthur Honegger's integral song oeuvre (62 songs) was released by Centaur Records. Together with baritone Sinan Vural and pianist Nick Ross, this project took shape in Virginia, where the recitals received rave reviews. The presentation of this unique double CD took place in April 2012 in the Arke Hall of Muziekcentrum Enschede.
In addition to her busy singing practice, Claudia is a principal study teacher in classical singing at ArtEZ Conservatoire. She initiated and directed several ArtEZ opera productions.

Love can be an extremely complex challenge, all-consuming and all-destroying. In all its facets, love is sung about in this recital. From the tormented woman in Mozart's If Louise die Briefe, the jubilant and thoroughly high-romantic Sieben frühe Lieder From Mountain to the lovely Phidylé by Duparc and the endearing little white horse in Complainte du petit cheval blanc By Bosmans. The Irish saga The Seal man by Clark tells the story of unconditional love leading to death. Equally fatal are Honegger's Sirens, whose wonderfully beautiful and enticing vocals make languorous men disappear into the waves. Kurt Weill also shows how confusing love can be. I'm a stranger here myself.
