What a great pleasure it was to attend the student concert by baritone Guyon Mingelen and pianist Hugo Maillé on Sunday 12 October. In the beautiful living room on Groot Hertoginnelaan in The Hague, they gave a song recital in its purest form.

In memoriam Roberta Alexander

On Tuesday 14 October, internationally celebrated soprano Roberta Alexander died unexpectedly. She was a valued judge at our auditions, former chairman of our artistic advisory board and teacher. She still had a full agenda of performances, master classes and adjudications, but died of acute cardiac arrest at the age of 76.

Verschwiegene Lieder is painfully topical

In cooperation with the residents‘ committee of the Termaat House in Rotterdam, the Rotterdam branch organised a wonderful performance by Robbert Muuse and Micha van Weers. In the large hall of the complex, they performed ’Verschwiegene Lieder'.
